Board Meeting Minutes
February 20, 2006
This Board meeting was started at 6:30pm in the Eagle Watch Hearth
restaurant. All Board members were present except Tony Jones, Erik
Rosengren and Greg Lebanowski. Visitors were Seth Churi and Christel
Brickner of Canongate Golf Clubs and John MacDonald.
With the absence of the President and Vice President, the Secretary
called the meeting to order and Bob Smith was selected to act a
President pro-tem for the meeting.
The Treasurer’s report was submitted as follows:

Seth Churi presented a brief status summary of the Canongate acquisition
and planned improvements of the Eagle Watch Golf Club. This included
consideration being given to maximize tee time availabilities for
all members and established groups. Seth also indicated that the
Club does not intend to publish a membership directory but will
handle EWMGA newsletter/information for us.
The Board decided to cancel, rather than reschedule, the 4-Man
Combined Dogfight Tournament which was not held on February 11.
It was reported that the EWMGA 2006 membership now consists of
45 individuals.
Killer presented status of the EWMGA Website. He was asked to update
the tournament schedules on the website.
Dave Scott presented the proposed Constitution/By-Laws update.
Discussion was held and the proposed version was accepted by the
Board. The discussion included a proposal by Joel Greene for consideration
of reduction of the number of Board members to a level of possibly
9 or 11. It was decided to schedule possible action on this until
a later Board meeting. A motion was made (Jake Jacobs), seconded
(Don Viscio) and approved to submit the proposed update to the general
membership for ratification. The update will be e-mailed to all
members, put on the website. A general membership meeting will be
scheduled to be held after the next tournament where the update
can be voted upon.
General discussion was held regarding the upcoming Member/Guest
Tournament (June 1-3) sponsored by the Golf Club. Discussion included
formats and the EWMGA support to be provided.
The next EWMGA sponsored tournament is the Shamrock Shuffle to
be held on March 18. Don Viscio and Frank Peters will co-chair this
tournament and establish/publicize formats and prizes.
Coordination between the EWMGA and EWLGA (Ladies Golf Association)
was discussed to maximize mutual benefits. Tony and Erik will serve
as the points-of-contact with the EWLGA.
The next EWMGA Board meeting will be held on March 13 at 6:30pm
in the Eagle Watch Hearth restaurant.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45pm.
