EWMGA BOARD MEETING

SEPTEMBER 25, 2013

This Eagle Watch Men’s Golf Association (EWMGA) Board meeting was started at 6:00 pm in the Eagle Watch Club House.  Attendees were Gary Janos (President), Jim Gould (Vice President), David Scott (Secretary), Erik Rosengren (Treasurer), Frank Peters, Mike Putnam, Sergio and Bob Smith).  Absentees were Tony Jones, Larry Terry and Bruce Worthington.  There were no guests or visitors at this meeting.

Erik provided the Treasurer’s Report depicting a current bank balance of $3,012 with no debts outstanding.  He also reported no change in the 2013 EWMGA membership (103).

Bob discussed the current status of the Eagle Watch vs. Bridgemill MGA Challenge event to be held on September 28-29 with the pairing party at Bridgemill on September 27^th.  The event locations will be at Bridgemill on Saturday (Best Ball and Alternating Shot) and at Eagle Watch on Sunday (Scramble and Individual formats).  Twelve players will participate from each organization.  Food and beverage arrangements were also covered.

Gary led the review of the upcoming EWMGA Member/Member Crème of the Crop Tournament to be held on October 12-13.  Forth-three participants have registered so far for this event with a target of 60 desired.  The draft budget and tee gift arrangements were discussed.  A reminder flyer is to be emailed to encourage additional participation in this event.

Gary led the review of the season ending (October 17^th) status for the EWMGA Thursday Night League.  The preliminary budget and formats were discussed.

We also reviewed the current status for the EWMGA Steak ‘n Cigar night tournament to be held on October 3^rd..

Planning is underway for the EWMGA Board elections to be held during December.  There will be five (5) opening due to the terms endings for Jim Gould, Tony Jones, Frank Peters, Bob Smith and Bruce Worthington.  The membership will be solicited for possible nominees and a nominating committee is to be established. There was no further new business presented and the meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held on Tuesday night (October 8^th) starting at 6:00 pm.
